Thermostat wiring
I want to update my daughter's thermostats in her condo. She purchased 2 Honeywell Smart Wi-Fi compatible units. The old one downstairs has just two wires (RH and W1 O/B while the upstairs has 4 wires; a red attached to RC, a white attached to W, a blue attached to Y and a green attached to G. There is no C obviously downstairs. I was told to get a C adapter but that means running wires to a nearby outlet which I'd rather not do if possible. Are there Smart Wi-Fi units available that I can hook up? For the upstairs I was told by Honeywell to buy a 24v adapter. I have the same question, are there units available for that wiring configuration?
