Shared immersion heater circuit
Hi everyone
Is it permissable to connect 2 immersion heaters to one RCBO and supply cable?
I'm installing a water cylinder (which has 2 immersions) in a new utility room, which used to be a kitchen.
I want to repurpose the old cooker supply cable which is 10mm. If it's legal, I want to feed both immersions vis seperate DP switches, but they will share the same RCBO in the consumer unit.
In short, is there any way I can use this cable to power 2 immersions? Pulling another cable via the same route as the original isn't possible - I'd have to run it along the outside of the house. If I have to I will, but it's not ideal.
Thanks for any advice.
