Ferrule for triple solid core CPC in socket w/metal back box
Ancillary to my other post, I wanted to check if something was up to standard in part of the installation I'm doing.
We have a metal back box in this case. I've got a fly lead going to the face plate, which has the two other CPC cables going to it also. I've not been happy with how sturdy the connection is if I use 3 solid core conductors into the single terminal especially with the loose 4mm sheathing for the earths. One always seems to want to pop out. MK Logic back boxes.
I decided to use a ferrule to connect the triple CPC together and then insert in the faceplate terminal. I'm just not sure about crimped ferrules on solid core cable. It seems to be rock solid, but wanted to check I've not erred.
Am I good or should I try for an alternative solution such as a wago?
The ferrule used is a fluted knipex E-Cu ferrule of the non insulated type like below:
The tool used was a pair of knipex self adjusting crimping pliers:
